An afternoon of discovery took place at St Joseph’s RC Primary School in Darwen on Thursday 12th November.

The Year 6 Pupils are studying the Human Body and asked St Bede’s if they could help in any way. In response Mr Pontifex visited the school and carried out an Animal Dissection so that pupils could see how our vital organs work together. Pupils examined the heart, lungs and tongue of a sheep and as you can see from the photographs were not afraid to discover for themselves. Mr Pontifex was very impressed at the in-depth questions asked of him by the pupils and their enthusiasm for their subject.
