Class groups

You will be placed in teaching groups based on your SAT scores. We continue to assess you in all areas so it is important to work hard and show your teachers your true potential.

Timetable

Unlike primary school, you won’t be in the same classroom all day. There is a two week timetable and lessons last one hour; a bell will indicate that it is time to change lesson. You will travel around the school to different classrooms to be taught a variety of subjects by different teachers. Don’t worry about getting lost (we all do when we first start!) as there are staff on corridors and on the yard during lesson changeover. You will carry your books and equipment in a school bag so it is important to be organised and ensure you take time each evening to pack the items you need. For example, you only have to bring your PE kit on the days you have PE. Look at the tasks section and use the example timetable to practise packing your bag each day.

Personal Study
