St Bede’s High School, Blackburn is an 11-16 co-education Catholic secondary school under the trusteeship of the Diocese of Salford. As a Voluntary Aided school, the Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for making decisions on applications for admissions.

The co-ordination of admissions arrangements is undertaken by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. For the school year commencing September 2025, the Governing Body has set its admissions number at 210.

IMPORTANT NOTE – if your child is baptised Roman Catholic then you must provide evidence of this by 1st December 2024. If we do not receive evidence by this date then your child will be placed in a non-Catholic criteria.

Applications for admission to the school for September 2025 are now open and will close on 31st October 2024. Please visit the Local Authority’s website to complete the application form and for more information.

The National Offer Day for Secondary Schools is the 3rd March 2025.
