GEOGRAPHY TEACHER

The Governors are seeking to appoint a high‑quality Geography teacher to join our successful and ambitious department. This role would suit either an experienced teacher with a proven record of excellent outcomes or an ECT with passion, drive and strong potential.

Over half of our Year 9 pupils choose to continue with geography at KS4, demonstrating strong engagement and confidence in the subject. Our outcomes reflect this commitment: since 2018, 68% of students have achieved grade 4+ and 21% have achieved grade 7+, both consistently above national averages.

  • Grade 5 or above: 63.9% (compared with LA 48.4% and England 51.2%)
  • Grade 4 or above: 77.2% (compared with LA 67.4% and England 69.8%)

FOUNDATION GOVERNOR VACANCY

Required immediately

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Foundation Governor.

Foundation Governors play an important part in maintaining and developing the Catholic character of schools.

Governors do not need any formal qualifications – having appropriate relevant skills and experience, an interest in education, a commitment to prepare for and attend meetings, conduct school visits and attend training are as important.

To be a Foundation Governor you must be over 18 and a practicing Catholic. As part of the self-nomination process, you will need to give the contact details of your parish priest who can verify this.
