FOUNDATION GOVERNOR VACANCY

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Foundation Governor.

Foundation Governors play an important part in maintaining and developing the Catholic character of schools.

Governors do not need any formal qualifications – having appropriate relevant skills and experience, an interest in education, a commitment to prepare for and attend meetings, conduct school visits and attend training are as important.

To be a Foundation Governor you must be over 18 and a practicing Catholic. As part of the self-nomination process, you will need to give the contact details of your parish priest who can verify this.

EXAMINATION INVIGILATOR

Grade C SCP5 £13.26 per hour (with a pay award due for hours worked from April 2026 onwards)

 We are looking to expand our invigilation team for the upcoming summer exams.

As and when, required between Monday – Friday from 8th May until 24th June 2026, plus training prior to these dates.

(No exams week commencing 25th May for one week as it’s half term).

You will be required to confirm your availability in advance of main exam periods.  Applicants will play a key role in the integrity of the examination process.

The ideal candidate must be:

  • reliable, flexible and readily available during main exam periods
  • have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • work well as part of a team
  • be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms
  • be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people
  • have basic IT skills (familiar with use of email, mobile phone messaging etc.)

Experience of invigilation is not required as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided.
