Statutory Consultation on proposed Admission Arrangements for St Bede’s for 2027-2028 Admissions

The Statutory Consultation on one proposed change to the admission arrangements for St Bede’s R.C High School for September 2027 has now closed.

We are in the process of analysing the responses and will update the information as soon as possible.

New Intake Admissions

St Bede’s High School, Blackburn is an 11-16 co-education Catholic secondary school under the trusteeship of the Diocese of Salford. As a Voluntary Aided school, the Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for making decisions on applications for admissions.

The co-ordination of admissions arrangements is undertaken by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. For the school year commencing September 2026, the Governing Body has set its admissions number at 215.

IMPORTANT NOTE – if your child is baptised Roman Catholic then you must provide evidence of this by 1st December 2025. If we do not receive evidence by this date then your child will be placed in a non-Catholic criteria.

The National Offer Day for Secondary Schools is the 2nd March 2026.
