In Spanish, we have started to use Duolingo, which is a free online platform that supports the development of key language skills, including listening, reading, speaking and writing.
Students are given two weeks to complete each personal study task, which generally equates to 15 minutes of focused learning.
Students will be provided with specific login details for their class (those with existing Duolingo account will also be given a class code allowing them to join without losing any prior progress).
As motivation, Bede’s and prizes will be awarded each fortnight to students who appear at the top of class leaderboards.
